I am going to speak about technological development, which changes our learning and studying. Besides I’ll try to imagine school in a 100 years’ time and describe it.First of all I would like to say that nowadays the level of technology has become very high and it is still increasing. As you know the main target of it is to make our life easier for us to live, so it practically changed everything beginning with brainwork and ending with manual labour. But now let’s talk about learning and studying changes. I wouldn’t say it about our country, but in other modern countries learning and studying are changing rapidly. Books are being replaced by computers, because a computer is faster than a book, it is usually connected to Internet so you can find almost everything what you need for your studies. Besides satellite TV changes learning too. It gives a wide variety of programs that you can watch and learn from them, it is very useful for learning modern languages.Talking about school in a 100 years’ time I could say that it will change greatly and for the better. I think future schools will be equipped with modern technologies such as computers, TV and so on. In my opinion future school will be much more effective than today’s ones.In conclusion, I would like to say that technological development plays an important role in our lives. How should people protect themselves against crime? Do you think people should be allowed to carry pistols to protect themselves in this age? Does the possession of a weapon help prevent crime or does it just lead to more violence?
The main topic of my individual talk is to answer the question: how would people protect themselves against a crime? Therefore I’ll try to analyse if people should be allowed to carry pistols to protect themselves. In addition I will express my own opinion about it.Firstly I would like to mention that nowadays our life isn_t safe. It seems that neither police, nor government can_t guarantee public safety. Therefore statistics show that violent crimes have increased at present. No one can live in peace and feel safe even in his own home. That’s why people are trying to protect themselves more and more: they try to find new ways of protection, supply their private property with modern secure equipment, they even buy weapons, thinking that it is an effective measure against crimes and violence. Frankly speaking, I am on the same side. I agree that pistols should be allowed for self-defence, because it gives us some advantages: I think you will be more self-confident knowing that you can defend yourself, it will be safer for you and your friends. I suppose the possession of a weapon will help to prevent crimes. To sum everything up I would like to say that we should always search for a better solution to these problems and of course take measures, because nobody will do our job for us.

Agree with this statement because when you speak to a man in his native language then you talk to him as an equal person, there is a better understanding and besides there will be no need to know him other modern languages, just his native and that’s all. He will always be pleased with you if you speak to him in his native language.
Speaking about the role of foreign languages in our days I could point out that modern languages are taking an important role in peoples’ life. If we know a foreign language, then we are able to speak to foreigners, to write letters or documents to other countries, we can read foreign books, papers, listen to words of songs and so on. The most popular foreign languages are Chinese, English and Spanish. About 85% of world’s mail is written in English and besides about 50% of World’s business is conducted in English. So it is taking a very important role in our society. I think, in future languages will not lose their importance in our society, but on the contrary, it’ll rise. More and more people will realise that modern languages are very important in their regular lives’ in their jobs and so on. Positive And Negative Image Of Lithuania Abroad? What Does The Word Lithuania Mean To You? What And Who Foreigner Associate Lithuania With?
The main topic of my short paragraph will be devoted to Lithuania. I_ll try to look over such questions as positive and negative image of Lithuania abroad, the meaning of the Lithuania and so on. First of all I would like to mention that I_m not an expert in such questions and I_m badly informed about Lithuania, but to my strong beliebe Lithuania is a commendable country which doesn_t have any negative image. If somebody asked me what the word Lithuania means to me, I would say that it_s my native land, a country where I was born. No doubt Lithuania is the dearest country for me.
Nextly I would like to point out that Lithuania is not very Famous in the world, but it has several famous places such as Gediminas and Trakai castle, or that it is the centre of Europe, which is located 20 km from Vilnius. Besides, Lithuania has famous basketball players, so usually foreigners associate Lithuania with our basketball players or with our national team “Lietuva”. In conclusion I would like to say that Lithuania is litlle, like a spot on the world map, but its famous not for its area but mostly for its people.Some teenagers dream of becoming top models. I will try to analyse what kind of physical characteristics and personal qualities should a person have for this job. Therefore I will express my own opinion about the career in modelling.First I would I like to say that there are some teenagers, mostly female, which dream of becoming top models. They think that it’s a fascinating and interesting profession, which will give them unlimited resources to travel. But before becoming a top model they must have really good physical and personal qualities. As I am informed a person who wants to be a top model must be attractive and always self-confident, must have a nice face and so on. Besides there is a great competition among models.Speaking about positive and negative aspects of the career in modelling I should point out that being a top model is a great advantage: it’s a profitable work and gives unlimited resources to travel, to meet famous people.

In addition I will express my opinion about the existing situation and some ways to change it.First, I would like to say that men and women are very similar, but their jobs at home differ a lot. The main thing why it is so is a settled family anarchy: usually the head of family is a man, and consequently he just controls other family members. That is why women spend much more time working at home and the amount of work is twice bigger than men’s. As you know women do all kinds of work beginning with doing the rooms, washing and ending with cooking. If a woman is unemployed, she usually works at home all the day, without any breaks. Speaking about men’s work I should say that the most typical work for men at home is to repair something, shortly speaking most of the men don’t commit themselves to do a lot, because they have jobs, therefore they don’t have time for housework.In conclusion, I would like to say that we have a hard situation that there is inequality between men and women, we should try to change something, and the main thing is that anarchy should be abolished in every family. There are a lot of problems which teenagers have nowadays, so the main topic of my individual talk will be devoted to teenagers. I will try to discuss such a problem as watching television. Therefore I’ll try to give some arguments of the positive and negative effects of the television; In addition I will express my opinion about it.Nowadays more and more teenagers spend twice as mush time in front of the television than in the classroom. It’s like an infectious disease, from which you can not recover. As far as I know there is a great variety of opinions about television: some say that it’s very useful, and the others that it’s harmful, like a bad habit. To be more exact television has some negative and positive effects.Firstly, I would like to mention positive ones. To my mind, television is a good mean of information, it’s a training appliance, which informs us about the things, which are happening all around the world. However, I must say that there are some negative effects too: there is a lot of violence and debauchery on TV. I am going to speak about the most humane professions. Besides I will try to explain what kind of characteristics should a person have to be a qualified specialist in these professions and be able to serve people.There is a great variety of professions in our days; it is even hard to count all of them: some professions are more or less interesting, some of them are very profitable or poor. Talking about the most humane professions, I could say that every profession has more or less humane characteristics, but in my opinion, the most humane profession is a teacher’s profession. Teachers need a lot of patience to teach somebody and they must have a lot of characteristics to be a qualified specialist. For example: they must be clever, always communicative, good-tempered and of course intelligent, because you associate with pupils. In conclusion I would like to emphasize that the most humane professions are these professions where you need to communicate with people, so besides teacher’s profession there are plenty of others.

The main topic of my individual talk is to describe my ideal type of holiday, if it is an active holiday or opposite. In addition I’ll give some examples about it. First, I would like to say that everyone likes to have a holiday: to relax a bit, to forget their work and problems. It is not a secret that everyone has their own ideal type of holiday. Talking about my ideal type of holiday, I could say that I am a very energetic teenager, so I usually prefer active holidays. I always like to go sightseeing or camping with my brothers, friends, especially with classmates. It gives me a lot of satisfaction and fun. I don’t say that lying on the beach and staying in one place is not good, but active holidays usually are more interesting and exciting. Shortly speaking I am an adventurer and I always like to have a new adventure.

The main topic of my individual talk will be about radio stations that I usually listen to. Besides I’ll try to explain the differences and similarities between such radio stations like National Radio and M-1.First of all I would like to say that we can be proud that we have such a great variety of radio stations in Lithuania, besides most of the radio stations are specialized: some are devoted either to information like National Radio and the others mostly to music like M-1. In my opinion the best one is M-1, I usually spend twice as much time listening M-1, than listening National Radio and the main reason is that I’m very fond of music. Frankly speaking the level of National Radio is very poor: their coverage is very simple and boring, the information that they give is not interesting at all, shortly speaking their coverage is not specialized for young people. That’s why the National Radio is not so famous as it was.Talking about M-1 and Radiocentras I could say that these radio stations are commendable: perfect music of all styles, exciting programs for teenagers, games and so on. You can sit back and listen to M-1 for hours.In conclusion I would like to say that it would be great that someone would reorganize the National Radio in order to improve the image of state radio, to specialize it for youngsters.

The main topic of my individual talk will be about living surroundings. In addition, I will give some pieces of advice how to live in a clean and healthy environment. First, I would like to say that no human could stand being apart from the environment because each of us is a part of the natural world. As you know, we are dependable from environment. On our surroundings depends: our health, our mood even our behavior. That is why I prefer tidy and clean surroundings to messy and littered ones. There are people who prefer clean ones too but they usually do not have time or desire to clean them, because it needs a lot of work. Besides, I would like to emphasize that our survival and the survival of the future generations depend upon a healthy world. That’s why we should take some measures to protect our environment. The best solution to this problem would be environmental education to everyone. Shortly speaking each of us must begin to accept personal responsibility for protection of environment and to improve it where necessary.In conclusion I would like to say that doing what we can, in protecting and improving our environment will help and improve the entire world.

The main topic of my individual talk will be about people who do shoplift. In addition, I will try to find a solution to a proper punishment for shoplifting; shortly speaking I will try to analyze those people’s behavior.
First, I would like to mention that because of rather poor economical situation in Lithuania the number of shoplifters is increasing rapidly. The main reason of such increase is unemployment, therefore now we have more and more shoplifters. As far as I know the owners of shops began a peculiar war with shoplifters too: they usually conceive a plan how to stop or slow down shoplifting. I am not so well informed about it but they usually have some cruel punishments and huge fines for shoplifters. In my opinion, it is not fear, because some people go shoplifting just to provide their families. I believe that the most proper punishment for shoplifters would be a warning the first time they are caught and if they do it again I think a slight fine would be ok. In conclusion, I would like to emphasize that no matter how hard the government or shop owners try to stop shoplifting, there still will be a group of people, who will do shoplifting.
