There are more then 600 languages in the world. So it is natural that one language can not give so much information as few languages. It is good to know German or Spanish, nut there’s no doubt, knowing such worldwide language as English, is much more useful. Today, English is one of the major languages in the world. English has become a worldwide language because of its establishment as a mother tongue outside England, in all continents of the world. During 400 years English became an official language of United Kingdom, of the United States of America, of Australia and New Zealand. It is used ass one of the official languages in Canada, the Republic of South Africa and the Irish. Many people in India, Pakistan and some countries of Africa speak it as a second language. There is a large number of countries in which English is as mother tongue. So these are the countries where you can travel without any problem or difficulties.I began learning English when I was in fifth grade, but I can’t say that I am very good at it. English have some difficulties, which make our studies a little bit difficult. Firstly, English has many exceptions to rules. Secondly, some words have difficult spelling. Thirdly, English has many tenses, which is difficult to separate. One more problem is with words, which have more than one meaning, and some phrases can be interpreted in more than one way. It takes a long time to master the language. But when you finally have learned to speak clearly and fluently, you get a great opportunity to find a very well paid job and make your carrier abroad. Also it is one of the most important way of communication with other people. Languages make travels to other countries easier, it gives us possibility to communicate with people from all over the world.
Learning foreign languages has the unquestionable benefit that you will learn more about your own language and about the world.
