William Shakespeare
William Shakespeare was born in 1564 into a middle-class family. His father was a glove maker in the small market-town of Stratford-upon-Avon. In 1590, the young actor and writer moved to London. He became the most famous playwright of his time for his poetry and more than 37 plays, including tragedies, comedies, and history.
No one doesn‘t know the real date of his birth day, but baptists are recorded in the parish church of Stratford-upon-Avon dated April 26, 1564. He died in April 23, 1616. According to a legend, William left Stratford for London to avoid a charge of poaching. After 1582 Shakespe are probably joined as an actor one or several companies of players. By 1584 he emerged as a rising playwright in London, and became soon a central figure in London´s leading theater company, the Lord Chamberlain´s Company, renamed later as the King´s Men. He wrote many great plays for the group. William Shakespeare was married to Anne Hathaway on (most likely) December 2, 1582. William was 18 at the time, and Anne was 26—and pregnant. Their first daughter, Susanna, was born on May 26, 1583. The couple later had twins, Hamnet and Judith, born February 2, 1585. Hamnet died in childhood at the age of 11, on August 11, 1596.
W. Shakespeare wrote the famous 154 Sonnets and dramatic works including the tragedy of the Prince of Denmark, „Hamlet“. Also he wrote Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Macbeth
For all his fame and celebration, William Shakespeare remains a mysterious figure with regards to personal history.
