There are many ways to keep fit. Firstly, exercise is a key factor in staying healthy, because exercise strengthens bones, heart, and lungs as also tones muscles. Furthermore it increases physical reserve (santūrumas) and vitality. It also helps you sleep better and relieve depression. Secondly, the healthy way of live helps to keep fit. This is an avoidance of tobacco, of illicit (uždraustas) drugs, and of excessive (perdetas) use of alcohol, because consumption of these materials gradually depresses brain functions. And still we must have healthy eating habits, to eat only those products that are useful for our body. To sum up maintaining (palaikyti) good health habits cannot guarantee a longer life, but it can minimize the risk of illnesses and certainly improve the quality of life.
