Sport is an important part of todays society and plays a large role in many people’s lives. Now more than ever, sport dominate headlines and athletes have become national heroes.
A lot of people are in favour of sport and from a social stand point, it plays a positive role by uniting people from different backgrounds by support of their favourite team. This can aid people understanding and tolerance of each other. However, just as sport unities people, it can also diivide them as it is often demonstrated by the crowd violence at football matches. Furthermore, this is the main disadvantage why I dislike sport. In addition I can point out another negative point of sport. The fact of the matter is that large sums of money are paid to event organizers to promote products such as cigaretes which are harmful to our health.
But on the other hand, sport has heaps of positive points, for example, it is an important paart of every child’s schooling, as it plays a large role in their physical and mental development. In addition, going in for sports is really the best way to improve your health. It is popularly believed that you will not lo

oose weight unless you start doing some exercises. Moreover, as with everything, there are certain drawbacks of taking part in a sport, the main one – it can lead to serious injuries.
Taking all this into account, sporting activities can be very beneficial to our health provided they are carried out with care and correct supervision and are not taken to excess.
